Ogan Soysal passed away

From the founders of the Marmara Group Foundation, we have lost OGAN SOYSAL, our valuable volunteer, who has been involved in the establishment of the Eurasian Economic Summits and who was the member of the Executive Councils from 1998 to 2010. We will not forget the memory, friendship and loyalty of our friend Ogan Soysal who has made high contributions to the activities of the Marmara Group Foundation. As Marmara Group Foundation, we would like to express our mercy to our dear friend Ogan Soysal who has signed numerous activities together in Turkey and abroad.

China CICIR Institue visited the Marmara Group Foundation

The academic delegation of the "China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations in China" whose headquarter is in Beijing, consisting of Liao Baizhi, Qin Tian, Niu, Xinchun and Li Yanan, visited the Marmara Group Foundation. Dr. Akkan Suver, Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu, Engin Köklüçınar, Yüksel Önel and Erdoğan Demirel were present during the visit. Joint academic meetings between Turkey and the People's Republic of China were discussed during the meeting.

The 21st Eurasian Economic Summit was held

The 21st Eurasian Economic Summit has been realized on 11-12 April 2018 with the participation of 41 countries. Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım, Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekçi, former Deputy Prime Minister and Member of the Parliament Tuğrul Türkeş, Istanbul Governor Vasip Şahin, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mevlut Uysal were among the participants. Also former President of the Turkish Republic Abdullah Gül, Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov, President of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mladen Ivanic, President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marinko Cavara, President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Mustafa Akıncı, former President of Moldova Petru Lucinschi, former President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers, former President of Croatia Ivo Josipovic, former President of Croatia Stjepan Mesic, former President of Romania Emil Constantinescu participated in the Summit.

The Marmara Group Foundation was in Macedonia

A delegation of the Marmara Group Foundation, consisting of Dr. Akkan Suver, Müjgan Suver and Ali Rıza Arslan visited Macedonia as the guests of President of Macedonia Gjorge Ivanov. Throughout the visit, Consul General of Macedonia to Istanbul, Zerrin Abaz was also present. During talks, Dr. Akkan Suver gave a presentation regarding the 21st Eurasian Economic Summit to be held next year to President of Macedonia Gjorge Ivanov. Suver, who also got the opinion of President Gjorge Ivanov, invited him to the 21st Eurasian Economic Summit.

Macedonia is in the 26th Year of Its Independence

A reception was given by Ambassador of Macedonia Zvonko Mucunski on the occasion of the 26th Aniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Macedonia, the Day of the Army and the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Turkey. Şamil Ayrım, who attended the reception on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation, congratulated the festival of Macedonian Nation through Ambassador Zvonko Muccunski. Also, Şamil Ayrım congratulated Zerrin Abaz, Consul General of Macedonia.

The Independence of Uzbekistan is 26 Years Old

The 26th year of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan was celebrated with a reception given by Shuhkrat Aminov, Consul General of Uzbekistan. The reception, which was attended by foreign mission chiefs as well as the official office in Istanbul, lasted until late hours. Dr. Akkan Suver, attending the reception on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation, congratulated the national day of our Uzbek brothers, through Consul General Shuhkrat Aminov, with his civil society identity.

Kuchkarov was in Istanbul

Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Tourism and the Head of the State Committee responsible for Investments had also a meeting with the delegation of the Marmara Group Foundation consisting of Dr. Akkan Suver and Ali Rıza Arslan during their official visit to Turkey. Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Kucukarov stated during the meeting that Turkey and Uzbekistan have a lot of work to do together and also he stated that they started their works in Turkey from Istanbul and successfully completed in Ankara.

Visit of Consul General of Bangladesh to Istanbul

Consul General in Bangladesh, Istanbul Mohammed Monirul Islam, made a courtesy visit to Dr. Akkan Suver and expressed his satisfaction with the invitation of Bangladesh to the 20th Eurasian Economic Summit. Dr. Akkan Suver said that the relationship between Bangladesh that is started with the participation of Bangladesh to the Eurasian Economic Summits is going to illuminate the unity of our peoples.
