Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation, published a message on the occasion of the July 1st Cabotage Day: “The Cabotage Day is the Turkish domination of the seas” Dr. Akkan Suver's message regarding the July 1st Cabotage Day is exactly as follows: "-Cabotage, which is the registration of our domination of our seas are the announcement of the ship management business between our country's wharves or ports and our sovereignty in doing this business to the world. With the Cabotage Law that came into force on July 1st, 1926, Turkish the state became dominant in the sea transportation 90% of which was in the hands of foreigners during the Ottoman Empire. In fact, the basis of this idea was laid at the Izmir Economic Congress on February 17th, 1923, before the proclamation of the Republic with the understanding of "national economy". On July 1st, 1926, piers and ports were expropriated and nationalized. The symbol of our right to cabotage, happy great fest of our seafaring!

Volkan Bozkır was elected as the President of the UN 75th General Assembly.

Istanbul Deputy Volkan Bozkır was elected as the 75th President of the United Nations General Assembly. Upon the election of a Turk to the General Assembly Presidency in the United Nations, for the first time in history, Marmara Group Foundation, a member of the United Nations ECOSOC celebrated separately Mr. Volkan Bozkır and Turkey the Foreign Ministry. Dr. Akkan Suver wrote a letter to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Istanbul Deputy Mr. Volkan Bozkır and presented the congratulations of the Marmara Group Foundation.

In the 567th year of the Conquest of Istanbul

Happy 567th anniversary of the conquest of Istanbul, which has changed the age and is considered one of the important events in the world. Istanbul was conquered by Fatih Sultan Mehmed on 29 May 1453. As a result of the siege that lasted from 6 April to 29 May 1453, the Ottoman army conquered Istanbul and the Byzantine empire ended. After the conquest, Istanbul became the capital of the Ottoman Empire.
