President of the Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver visited the newly appointed Consul General of Uzbekistan to Istanbul Alişer Batirov and wished success in his new duty. After presenting information about the activities of the Marmara Group Foundation, Dr. Akkan Suver stressed the importance of Uzbekistan's participation to the 23rd Eurasian Economic Summit to be held next year and presented the official invitation letter.

To attend an international event, Mirko Sarovic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Istanbul, accepted Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation. Former Montenegrin Foreign Minister Milan Rocen, Chief Foreign Policy Advisor to the Presidency, will attend the 6th Istanbul Mediation Conference that will be held in Istanbul. Before the meeting, he visited Dr. Akkan Suver, President of Marmara Group Foundation and Honorary Consul General of Montenegro in Istanbul with his wife. Youth Participation on Democratic Process Seminar

The seminars which is organized within the scope of our project continue in Marmara University. Assoc. Dr. Prof. Yonca Özer moderated the seminar titled The Importance of Political Participation for Democracy: Democratic Participation of Young People '. Prof. Dr. Serhat Güvenç shared his experiences on participation in democratic processes and the mechanisms of participation. EU and Human Rights Platform President Müjgan Suver presented the Turkish Youth and Women for Democracy project. The Director of the Institute for European Studies hosted the seminar. Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Dartan and our project partner Kenan Kolat of the Turkish-German Institute, Dr. Ertekin Özcan and Cem Gençtürk also participated in the seminar.
