Tatiana Çelebi made a working visit to Marmara Group Foundation

Moldova Istanbul Trade Attaché Tatiana Çelebi made a working visit to the Marmara Group Foundation in order to be informed on the preparations of the 23rd Eurasian Economic Summit and exchange views on the participation of Moldova. In the visit, Dr.Akkan Suver expressed that he attache great importance to the participation of Moldova to the Summit.

Şamil Ayrım sent a letter to members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean

Union Parliamentary Assembly for the Mediterranean (UfM PA) Turkish Delegation President Şamil Ayrım sent a letter to the UfM PA member delegations and lawmakers, containing detailed information relating to Turkey’s hydrocarbon activities in Mediterranean on August 17, 2020. Şamil Ayrım, stated that Turkey is the country with the longest coast in the Eastern Mediterranean and the conflict in the eastern Mediterranean can be resolved permanently only by dialogue and cooperation in mentioned letter. In the letter, UfM PA Turkish Delegation President Şamil Ayrım, emphasized that Turkey’s activities in Eastern Mediterranean has two dimensions; first one is the dimension related to the protection of the rights arising from the continental shelf due to the fact that Turkey is a sovereign state; second one is protection of legal rights of the Cyprus Turks who is the co-owner or the island. Besides, he emphasized that Turkey will demand justice primarily through diplomacy and cooperation and Turkey and North Cyprus will never give up their rights. In this context, Şamil Ayrım gave detailed information to his interlocutors with the evaluation note in the appendix of the letter that explains clearly Turkey’s thesis complying with the international law.

Şamil Ayrım awarded with the Medal of Friendship

President of Azerbaijan İlham Aliyev, awarded Şamil Ayrım, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Marmara Group Foundation, and Istanbul Deputy, with the Medal of Friendship. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Ceyhun Bayramov presented the medal to Şamil Ayrım at an official ceremony held at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ankara. On the occasion of the presentation ceremony, President of Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver presented a letter to the President of Azerbaijan, İlham Aliyev, through the Embassy, to thank him on behalf of the Foundation. Şamil Ayrım was previously honored with the Azerbaijan Progress Medal in 2011. President of Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver also was honored by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev with the Medal of Progress in 2006 and the Medal of Friendship in 2011. The Marmara Group Foundation is grateful for its two members to be honored with medals by the President of Azerbaijan in separate time periods.

Consul General of Azerbaijan to Istanbul Mesim Hacıyev, whose term of office expired in Istanbul, returned to Baku

Dr. Akkan Suver presented his get well wishes to Lebanon

In the message sent by Dr. Akkan Suver to the Ambassador of Lebanon to Ankara H.E. On the 1st anniversary of the designation of the International Conscience Day, which will be celebrated within the UN as a day that reminds us of participating in self-thinking to improve ourselves and our communities, in the founding committee founded by South Korean Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, there are important names with Dr. Akkan Suver such as: H.E. Özgür Çengel became Rector of Galata University

Academic Council Member Prof. Dr. Özgür Çengel, one of the Volunteers of Marmara Group Foundation, was appointed as the Rectorate of the newly established Galata University. Between 1992-2000, completed undergraduate and graduate education in the fields of Business-Marketing at the The University of Central Florida in the United States, Prof. Dr. Çengel had served as a Lecturer at the same university. In 2005, awarded the title of Doctor in Marmara University, Production Management, and Marketing Department, Prof. Dr. Özgür Çengel, between 2002-2020, worked as a full-time academician at Istanbul Commerce University, Faculty of Business Administration for 18 years. He participated in various workshops on his specialty at Harvard, Tufts, and Babson Universities respected universities of the United States. Prof. Dr. Çengel became Professor in 2015 and served as the Vice-Rector at Istanbul Commerce University between 2015-2019. As of June 1, 2020, appointed to Istanbul Galata University as Rector, Prof. Dr. Özgür Çengel has many articles, books, and papers in his native language and foreign languages. Prof. Dr. Özgür Çengel is the Rapporteur of the Eurasian Economic Summits, organized by the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation for 22 years without interruption and success. We are on the 4th Anniversary of July 15

In the 4th year of July 15, we curse those who have made experience this great pain to our nation, and once again commemorate our martyrs with mercy and gratitude. Our consolation is the pro-democracy attitude and total rejection of the Turkish Nation to the coup attempt. We present our gratitude and thankfulness to our veterans on this glorious epic day of our nation, which reveals this in a spirit of national unity and consciousness. As Marmara Group Foundation, with our civil society identity, we curse the enemies of democracy and humanity who have attempted this event. On the fourth anniversary of this suffering, we wish God's mercy upon our martyrs, and we ask for the absence of such treacherous attempts again.
