Marmara Group Foundation condemns massacre in New Zealand

In the wake of the terrible terror experienced in two different mosques in New Zealand, President of the Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver cursed the events while making a press statement in Baku where the 7th Global Baku Forum was held. Dr. Akkan Suver's statement is as follows: "In New Zealand, the attacks that happened in two different mosques before Friday Prayer is against humanity as well as against Islam. It is a fact that Islamophobia, which has been committed for a long time, has a place in this case. We believe that anti-Islamism is fueling this event. As the Marmara Group Foundation, we condemn this massacre that we perceive as a new threat to humanity. We hope that this massacre in which in addition to anti-Islamism, the Turkish opposition is understood from communique, will be a lesson for the Western countries that encourage Turkish hostility and islamophobia. This massacre was actually committed against humanity as well as Muslims. We persistently demand that those who are behind this massacre in New Zealand must be found. Because we do not believe that those who are behind this massacre are traitorous, perverted murderer. We are sure that this is a scheme. We condemn those who organized the massacre, and want to know who is behind them. We wish mercy to the martyrs."

Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Erkan Özoral accepted the Marmara Group Foundation

Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Erkan Özoral accepted the President of the Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver who has attended the 7th of Global Baku Forum in Baku. During the visit, The Azerbaijani Journalist Prof.Dr. Halid Niyazov was also present. During the visit in which the exchange of views has been made on the importance of the 7th Global Baku Forum, Prof. Dr. Halid Niyazov gave a series of books to Ambassador Erkan Özoral.

Dr. Akkan Suver, who participated in the 7th Baku Global Forum, visited the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Perviz Shahbazov in his office. During the visit, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, Valeh Aleskerov, was also present. During the visit, Dr. Suver thanked the Minister of Energy Şahbazov and MP Aleskerov separately for their high participation in the 22nd Eurasian Economic Summit which held in February.

We continue to prioritize gender equality in business, public, and politics. Violence against women and the obstacles in the participation of women in education, working life and politics are not only a women's problem but a society issue. We call it Happy Women's Day with our belief that politics, working life and education need women's potential, energy and perspective. March 8 World Women's Rights Day is celebrated for more than a century. On this day, which is celebrated with various activities and marches in Turkey as well as in the World, attention is given to continuing gender inequalities from economy to politics. IF THERE IS NO WOMEN IN ECONOMY, SCIENCE, POLITICS AND MANAGEMENT; THERE IS NO HOPE FOR DEVELOPMENT, DEMOCRACY, AND FOR FUTURE. According to Gender Equality Report 2018 in which World Economic Forum announced, Turkey is ranked at the 130 th among 149 countries regarding the equality of men and women. The Gender Equality Report ranks Iceland, Norway and Sweden at the top of the list.

We lost Örsçelik Balkan

The Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Belgrade, the Secretary General of IFSPD Eldar Hasanov who is the regular participant of Eurasian Economic Summits was granted to the MEDAL OF HONOR OF THE MARMARA GROUP FOUNDATION at the 17th General Assembly of the International Foundation for Sustainable Peace and Development. On behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation, The Medal of Honor was given by Dr.Akkan Suver, Engin Köklüçınar and Lamiya Veliyeva. The Medal of Honor was supposed to be presented to Dr.Eldar Hasanov at the 22nd Eurasian Economic Summit however he could not attent to the summit. During the presentation of the medal with ceremony by Dr.Akkan Suver and Engin Köklüçınar, The members of the General Assembly gave a standing ovation to Ambassador Eldar Hasanov.
