Lunch invitation for Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov

The Marmara Group Foundation invited Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov, who was on a study visit in Turkey, to a meal at the Istanbul Beyti Restaurant. At the lunch, which was attended by Patriarch Bartholomeos, Dr. Akkan Suver, Ali Rıza Arslan and Müjgan Suver where present on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation as well as Prof. Dr. Erman Tuncer, Macedonian Consul General Zerrin Abaz and Secretary General of the Patriarchate Father Yuakim Billis. Beyti Güler, owner of the Beyti Restaurant, presented a tile-embroidered memorial plate to President Ivanov.

Mustafa Akıncı, President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus accepted the delegation of the Marmara Group Foundation that was on an promotional visit to Nicosia regarding the 21st Eurasian Economic Summit. The delegation consisting of Dr. Akkan Suver, Ali Rıza Arslan and Şamil Ayrım invited President Akıncı to the 21st Eurasian Economic Summit. Ali Rıza Arslan, Vice President of the Marmara Group Foundation and DEIK Belarus Business Council President visited Belarus with Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım. At theTurkey-Belarus Business Forum, where Ali Rıza Arslan and Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım listened to the thoughts and demands of businessmen, Arslan said the following in his speech: "Our mutual trade volume increased by over 30 percent in 2017. This trade volume is close to 1 billion dollars. Turkish firms have gained experience to invest directly in Belarus. I wish these experiences will continue in the coming years."

The "Tops" of the Balkans night, organized by One Rumeli Television, took place with great participation at Cemal Reşit Rey Convention Center in Istanbul. At the event, where representatives of the Balkan Associations as well as ministers, parliamentarians and civil society leaders of the Balkan countries were present, Atatürk was mentioned by all the speakers as the greatest person of the Balkan. The event that started with the opening speech of Atilla Baykal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tek Rumeli Television, the announcers and the spectacularly beautiful presentations of Gamze Matracı anbd Yusuf Emini were greatly appreciated. Dr. Akkan Suver presented one of the "Tops" of the Balkans award to the rector of Trakya University, Prof. Dr. Erhan Tabakoğlu. Artists from Balkan countries and Balkan folklore teams brightened up the event with their performances during the event.

Feng Wei, Vice Chairman of CIIDS "Innovation and Development Strategy Institute of China" and Chen Yinlong of the International Bureau visited the Marmara Group Foundation together with Li Chunliang, Chief of the Political Section of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China, and Attaché Hu Yuzhe of the People's Republic of China. During the visit issues of a cooperation between Turkey and the People's Republic of China in the field of civil society were discussed. On the occasion of the exchange of information about the 21st Eurasian Economic Summit, Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu, Ertuğrul Kumcuoğlu, Ali Riza Arslan, Yüksel Çengel, Cafer Okray, Yüksel Önel and Dr. Akkan Suver were present on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation.
