Concert in honour of Saint Andrew's Day

Thronal Feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle organised by the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople in memory of St. Andrew was celebrated with a musical concert. St. Andrew's Day, which was commemorated accompanied by violin concerts performed by Greek violinists Dimitris Isaris and George Rafael Gaitanos, was also joined by the heads of foreign missions in Istanbul, the representative of Vatican to Istanbul and the Metropolitan Bishop of England. Guests were welcomed with a reception following a speech by His All-Holiness Bartholomew Arcbishop of Istanbul-New Rome and Ecumenical Patriarch explaining the significance of the day.
