CIIDS China Innovation and Development Strategy Institute was at the Marmara Group Foundation

Feng Wei, Vice Chairman of CIIDS "Innovation and Development Strategy Institute of China" and Chen Yinlong of the International Bureau visited the Marmara Group Foundation together with Li Chunliang, Chief of the Political Section of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China, and Attaché Hu Yuzhe of the People's Republic of China. During the visit issues of a cooperation between Turkey and the People's Republic of China in the field of civil society were discussed. On the occasion of the exchange of information about the 21st Eurasian Economic Summit, Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu, Ertuğrul Kumcuoğlu, Ali Riza Arslan, Yüksel Çengel, Cafer Okray, Yüksel Önel and Dr. Akkan Suver were present on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation. At the meeting, the importance which the Marmara Group Foundation attaches on the Silk Road Project was brought to the agenda. The executives of the Marmara Group Foundation who evaluate the Silk Road Project as the philosophy of the era, also offered to collaborate on this field.

Ambassador Michael B. Christides, who assumes his duties as Secretary General for the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, received Dr. Akkan Suver in his office. Dr. Suver invited the Secretary General to the 21st Eurasian Economic Summit in April. During the visit, he stressed that General Secretaries of the BSEC participated in the Eurasian Economic Summits in the previous years. Dr. Suver emphasized the significance of regional cooperation and that the Black Sea coexistence is very good example for this.

Career Consuls and Honorary Consuls came together at the "TÜSİAD Turkey's Economy and Global Trends Assessment" meeting on Tuesday. Besides the Consul General of Hungary in Istanbul and ICC Chairman Balázs Hendrich, General Secretary of TÜSİAD Bahadır Kaleağası and TÜSİAD Chief Economist Dr. Zümrüt İmamoğlu made evaluations on Turkey's economy. The opening speech of the meeting, that was also attended by Dr. Akkan Suver, was made by Balázs Hendrich, Head of the ICC and Consul General of Hungary in Istanbul. While Secretary General of TÜSİAD Bahadır Kaleağası held a presentation regarding "Global Trends in Turkey, the EU and the World, TUSIAD Chief Economist Dr. Zümrüt İmamoğlu presented a communiqué with the topic "Economy of Turkey".
