Independence Day of Ukraine Celebrated

Ambassador Liu Shaobin Visits Marmara Group Foundation

H.E. Liu Shaobin, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Türkiye, participated as a guest speaker at the Marmara Group Foundation's September meeting. Ambassador Liu Shaobin, who came to the Marmara Group Foundation along with Hon. Wei Xiaodong, the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Istanbul, discussed the achievements of the Belt and Road Initiative, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary, with approximately 70 prominent figures from the Marmara Group Foundation, including businessmen, academics, statesmen, and journalists. Upon the successful evaluations made by the Ambassador who came to the meeting with the Marmara Group Foundation pin on his lapel, Secretary General Sezgin Bilgiç proposed that the Ambassador be made an Honorary Member of the Foundation. Dr. Akkan Suver, the President, stated that the proposal would be discussed at the first Board of Directors meeting. Following his speech, Ambassador Liu Shaobin was presented with gifts by Cavit Çağlar, former State Minister, and Ali Talip Özdemir, former State Minister, on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation.
