Major Forum in Tashkent

The Marmara Group Foundation and the Uzbekistan Institute jointly organized a forum titled 'Türkiye-Uzbekistan Relations and the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.' The forum, attended by members of the Marmara Group Foundation including Dr. Akkan Suver, Member of Parliament Osman Mesten, Sezgin Bilgiç, Mustafa Ergin, Ferit Sağ, Hasan Yediyıldız, and Caner Dinçer, was held in the late President Islam Karimov's working office. Officials noted that this was the first time in years that the forum hall had been opened to a foreign delegation. The Forum was also attended by Olgan Bekar, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiyeto Tashkent, and Bakhromjon Aloev, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan. Following the forum, Dr. Akkan Suver gave interviews to Uzbek television and journalists. Our renowned historian, Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı, also participated in the forum via video conference and delivered a speech highlighting the significance of Turkish-Uzbek cooperation and the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.

Visit to Textile Fair and Calligraphy Exhibition in Tashkent

During their visit to Tashkent, the delegation of Marmara Group Foundation visited two exhibitions. In the first of these visits, the Marmara Group Foundation Delegation visited Turkish Companies in the Textile Fair opened in Tashkent and made the second visit to TIKA's "Calligraphy" Exhibition consisting of the works of Turkish Calligraphers. Dr Akkan Suver, Member of the Parliament from Bursa Osman Mesten, Sezgin Bilgiç, Mustafa Ergin, Ferit Sağ, Hasan Yediyıldız, Caner Dinçer were also present at the visit.

Dr. Akkan Suver met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloev during his visit to Uzbekistan. In the meeting, where Tashkent Ambassador Olgan Bekar and Member of the Parliament from Bursa Osman Mesten were also present, Dr Akkan Suver presented information about the 27th Eurasian Economic Summit to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloev and invited Deputy Minister Bakhromjon Aloev to the Summit.
