Within the scope of the 19th Eurasia Economic Summit, the Chairman of the Marmara Group Foundation, Dr. Akkan Suver paid a visit to Hon. Neyla Chala CHEBAANE, the Consul General of Tunisia Republic to Istanbul in her office. During the visit, the Consul of Tunisia Republic, Hon. Faouzi Hidri was also present. Dr. Suver, underlying the importance of Tunisia’s participation, stated that he would be delighted to welcome the delegation from Tunisia on the19th Eurasia Economic Summit.

During the visit, Dr. Akkan Suver, Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu, Şamil Ayrım, the Former Army Commander Org. Necdet Timur (retired), Yüksel Çengel, Engin Köklüçınar, Ertuğrul Kumcuoğlu, Müjgan Suver, Yalçın Sönmez, Ümran Kumcuoğlu, Prof. Dr. Sedefhan Oğuz, Cengiz Güldamlası were present. On behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation, Dr. Suver extended his gratitude and thanks to the 11th President of Turkey, Mr. Abdullah Gül for his Honoring Appearance and great contributions regarding the 18th Eurasian Economic Summit. The delegation has extended an invitation for the 19th Eurasian Economic Summit to be held on April 5-7th, 2016 in Istanbul. Subsequent to the visit, Mrs. Müjgan Suver, in the name of the Foundation, has submitted, a special edition Coffee Cup Set as a present.

Müjgan Suver attended the W20 (Women-20) meeting which has become a G20 engagement group this year thanks to the proposition of the Government of Turkey. At the opening, Turkish President R. Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech about the country’s and the world’s agenda, emphasized the empowerment of women. “Support Work-life Balance and Social Care Infrastructure”, “Address women’s economic empowerment through linkages between education, employment and entrepreneurship”, “Strengthen women’s economic, social and political networks”, “Increase women in both public sector and private sector leadership positions”, “Ensure women’s access to finance and productive assets”, “Eliminate workplace discrimination, enforce rights and promote equal opportunities” , “Promote women’s leadership in creating sustainable consumption patterns and green growth” and “Support women owned enterprises and innovation” issues were brought up at the W20 Summit during two days.

As part of the 19th Eurasian Economic Summit workings, Dr Akkan Suver consulted with Hon. Ilhomcon Abdurrahmonov, Consul General of Tajikistan in Istanbul and highlighted the importance of the participation of Tajikistan.Mr Ilhomcon Abdurrahmonov, Consul General of Tajikistan in Istanbul presented Dr Suver with books on Tajikistan.

MARMARA GROUP FOUNDATION HELD A ONE-DAY WORKING VISIT TO AZERBAIJAN

During their working visit to Azerbaijan, Dr. Akkan Suver and Mr. Şamil Ayrım were received by Prof. Dr. Ali Abbasov, Minister of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan. After exchanging views on the topics of the 19th Eurasian Economic Summit, it was decided that Azerbaijan’s high values should also be reflected at the Summit. The same day, Dr. Akkan Suver and Mr. Şamil Ayrım were also accepted by Prof. Dr. Nizami Caferov, President of the Ataturk Center in Azerbaijan, with whom they had a consensus on organizing a common activity in November

MACEDONIAN PRIME MINISTER GRUEVSKI RECEIVED MARMARA GROUP FOUNDATION

During a one-day working visit to Macedonia carried out by the Marmara Group Foundation, Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski accepted the Marmara Group Foundation in His office. Dr. Akkan Suver and Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu informed Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski about the Summit and invited H.E. to the 19th Eurasian Economic Summit. Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski promised in principle to participate in the Summit.

MINISTER OF STATE AT THE GOVERNMENT OF REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA FURKAN CAKO ACCEPTED MARMARA GROUP FOUNDATION

During the one-day working visit of the Marmara Group Foundation in Skopje, Mr. Furkan Cako, ‎Minister of State responsible for Foreign Investments at Government of the Republic of Macedonia stressed that they expected investors and businessmen from Turkey. Mr. Furkan Cako also highlighted the importance of the Eurasian Economic Summits and reported that the Macedonia delegation would make an important presentation at the 19th Eurasian Economic Summit which will take place between 5-7 April 2016.

Marmara Group Foundation’s President Dr. Akkan Suver, General Secretary Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu along with Mrs. Müjgan Suver and Aslı Yanardağ were received by the President of Macedonia H.E. Gjorge Ivanov. The First Lady of the Republic of Macedonia Mrs. Maja Ivanova and the Consul General of Macedonia in Istanbul Hon. Zerrin Abaz were also present at the meeting. The representatives of the Marmara Group Foundation presented information about the 19th Eurasian Economic Summit to the President and asked H.E. to honor the next year’s Summit as each year. The President announced his intention to honor the Summit in principle, and conveyed his thoughts about the topics.

THE FOUNDATION OF ALLIANCE OF CIVILISATIONS OF MACEDONIA AND THE MARMARA GROUP FOUNDATION SIGNED A MEMORANDUM

A delegation from the Marmara Group Foundation consisting of Dr. Akkan Suver and Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu paid a one-day working visit to Skopje and signed a memorandum with the newly activated Alliance of Civilisations of Macedonia. The two foundations will carry out joint social and cultural activities together according to this memorandum signed by the delegation and Prof. Dr. Zoran Ilievski. Following the signature ceremony, Dr. Suver and Dr. Saracoglu were accepted, along with Prof. Dr. Zoran Ilievski, by Gjorge Ivanov, President of Macedonia, who wished success and presented congratulations to the delegation.
