Dr. Akkan Suver visited Jag Club Shoe Center

Dr. Suver showed his admiration with feelings of appreciation to the owner Mr. Ahmet Polat during his visit to the Museum of the Jag Club, where shoe users extended from Süleyman Demirel to Prince Charles.

Wednesday, January 8, 2020 - Read : 1833Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation and Board Member Mr. Sezgin Bilgiç made a courtesy visit to Consul General of Turkmenistan Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov within the framework of the promotional visits of the 23rd Eurasian Economic Summit which will be held in Istanbul on April 8-9, 2020. During the visit, Dr. Akkan Suver stressed the importance they attach to Turkmenistan's participation and asked for the support of Consul General Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov in the 23rd Eurasian Economic Summit on the high level of participation of Turkmenistan.

Visit to Javad Maboudifar

During the visit, Dr. Akkan Suver presented information about the Eurasian Economic Summits to Javad Maboudifar, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran and requested his support for the participation of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Uzbekistan Elections
Sunday, December 22, 2019 - Read : 1792Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation, who participated as an Observer to the elections of the National Assembly, Senate and Local Administrations in the name of Turkish civil society on 22 December 2019 in Uzbekistan, visited 26 ballot boxes. Dr. Akkan Suver, who gave information to the press about his ballot boxes that he served in Mirobod and Yakkasaray Districts in Tashkent, stated that the elections were transparent and in accordance with democratic rules and western norms. Dr. Akkan Suver who also met with party representatives and voters during the ballot box visits, said that for the first time in the elections, women were given roses by the Chairman of the Balloting Committee, and while going their home with committee, they have allowed the people who have already been referred to some kind of disease vote in their homes. Meanwhile, the fact that 36 of the deputies were women was described by observers as a discrete achievement of the idea of New Uzbekistan. Dr. Akkan Suver made the following evaluation regarding the election results: 5 political parties participated in the Uzbekistan elections According to the results of the election: The Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan 43 deputies, The People's Democratic Party 18 deputies, The Social Democratic Party Adolat (Justice) 21 deputies, the Democratic Party Milliy Tiklanish (National Revival) 35 Deputies and Ecological Party of Uzbekistan 11 deputies released. In 22 provinces, 74 candidates will be re-elected. According to the Constitution of Uzbekistan, the winning party must exceed 50% in that province. Because it could not exceed in 22 provinces, elections will be held again.

President of the Supreme Election Board Mr. Sadi Güven from Turkey were among the participants of the consultation meeting.

100th Anniversary of the First Turkish Women's Rally of Kastamonu
Saturday, December 14, 2019 - Read : 2091The Kastamonu people (The Women's Horizon from Kastomu to the World opened to the world), met in Istanbul on the centennial anniversary of the first Turkish Women's Rally in Kastamonu. In the event, which was held as a World Heritage Kastamonu Initiative, the participants watched with great appreciation the film of Selçuk Metin and the symphonic concert of the soloist Nemeth Quartet under the direction of Oğuzhan Balcı. Speaking at the ceremony, World Heritage Kastamonu Initiative President Dr. Atif Uğurlu stated that; " We are proud to crown our 100th Anniversary of 10 December 1919 Women's Rally with such a meaningful night." The World Heritage Kastamonu Initiative, which was established under the leadership of Mehmet Reis, Prof. Dr. Sakine Esen Eruz, Dr. Atıf Uğurlu, Prof. Dr. Zeki Alpan, Prof. Dr. Necmi Yüzbaşıoğlu, Prof. Dr. Dursun Kırbaş and Prof. Dr. İzzet Tor, is expected to carry its activities to international platforms next year.
