MARMARA GROUP FOUNDATION HELD A ONE-DAY WORKING VISIT TO AZERBAIJAN

During their working visit to Azerbaijan, Dr. Akkan Suver and Mr. Şamil Ayrım were received by Prof. Dr. Ali Abbasov, Minister of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan. After exchanging views on the topics of the 19th Eurasian Economic Summit, it was decided that Azerbaijan’s high values should also be reflected at the Summit. The same day, Dr. Akkan Suver and Mr. Şamil Ayrım were also accepted by Prof. Dr. Nizami Caferov, President of the Ataturk Center in Azerbaijan, with whom they had a consensus on organizing a common activity in November

MACEDONIAN PRIME MINISTER GRUEVSKI RECEIVED MARMARA GROUP FOUNDATION

During a one-day working visit to Macedonia carried out by the Marmara Group Foundation, Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski accepted the Marmara Group Foundation in His office. Dr. Akkan Suver and Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu informed Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski about the Summit and invited H.E. to the 19th Eurasian Economic Summit. Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski promised in principle to participate in the Summit.

During the one-day working visit of the Marmara Group Foundation in Skopje, Mr. Furkan Cako, ‎Minister of State responsible for Foreign Investments at Government of the Republic of Macedonia stressed that they expected investors and businessmen from Turkey. Mr. Furkan Cako also highlighted the importance of the Eurasian Economic Summits and reported that the Macedonia delegation would make an important presentation at the 19th Eurasian Economic Summit which will take place between 5-7 April 2016.

Marmara Group Foundation’s President Dr. Akkan Suver, General Secretary Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu along with Mrs. Müjgan Suver and Aslı Yanardağ were received by the President of Macedonia H.E. Gjorge Ivanov. The First Lady of the Republic of Macedonia Mrs. Maja Ivanova and the Consul General of Macedonia in Istanbul Hon. Zerrin Abaz were also present at the meeting. The representatives of the Marmara Group Foundation presented information about the 19th Eurasian Economic Summit to the President and asked H.E. to honor the next year’s Summit as each year. The President announced his intention to honor the Summit in principle, and conveyed his thoughts about the topics.

THE FOUNDATION OF ALLIANCE OF CIVILISATIONS OF MACEDONIA AND THE MARMARA GROUP FOUNDATION SIGNED A MEMORANDUM

A delegation from the Marmara Group Foundation consisting of Dr. Akkan Suver and Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu paid a one-day working visit to Skopje and signed a memorandum with the newly activated Alliance of Civilisations of Macedonia. The two foundations will carry out joint social and cultural activities together according to this memorandum signed by the delegation and Prof. Dr. Zoran Ilievski. Following the signature ceremony, Dr. Suver and Dr. Saracoglu were accepted, along with Prof. Dr. Zoran Ilievski, by Gjorge Ivanov, President of Macedonia, who wished success and presented congratulations to the delegation.

DR. AKKAN SUVER PARTICIPATED THE THIRD GLOBAL FOUNDATION NANJING LEADERS FORUM IN CHINA

International aid groups and think tanks have gathered from 22-26 September in Nanjing for the third Global Foundation Leaders Forum. The forum aims is to provide a platform for foundations worldwide to discuss interaction and cooperation. More than 50 delegations from 25 countries came to the third global foundation leaders forum, exchanging ideas in forming and running foundations. On behalf of Marmara Group Foundation, Dr Akkan Suver participated this forum which focused on functions in disasters, the belt and road initiative, promotion of human rights and international cooperation in the Internet era. The President of Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver in the interview for China Central Television (CCTV News) had mentioned that: "With this meeting we have the chance to inform the world what is the silk road economic belt. For us, it's the philosophy of the century." Although, the President Dr. Akkan Suver during the third Global Foundation Leaders Forum had made the opening and panel discussion speeches.
