MONGOLIA

The history of many nations has been written on paper. However, it is also seen that these have been destroyed in time and have not survived to this day. However, our ancestors have written the society and state philosophy of our common culture on stones thousands of years ago. In the inscription found in the vast steppes of Mongolia, our great ancestor Bilge Kagan advises his people and us;

‘We have written every word on stone.
Listen to your Hakan well,
Unless the sky falls,
Unless the earth is pierced,
Your state and your laws
No one can destroy it’

These words continue to enlighten the path of brotherhood of our rights who are stepping into new horizons together. Our duty is to listen to this powerful voice, which is the epitome of political virtue and far-sightedness that has survived thousands of years ago, and to build the common future of our brotherly peoples together. With this determination, we, as the Marmara Group Foundation, attach great importance to the existing civil thought relations between Turkey and Mongolia with our high belief that our peoples, who are bound to each other by strong spiritual ties, will continue their friendship and brotherhood relations and solidarity for eternity. We believe that the Turkish-Mongolian brotherhood will provide great services to the history, culture and unity of the future with the works to be put forward in the field of civil society. Marmara Group Foundation is determined to continue its modest work in this field.

On the other hand, the Mongolian State has been generous to the Marmara Group Foundation and awarded Dr Akkan Suver the Genghis Khan Medal in 2006, the Silver Star Medal in 2009 and the Polar Star Medal in 2012. Again in 2013, they presented the Silver Star Medal to Engin Köklüçınar, the then Secretary General of the Marmara Group Foundation. Marmara Group Foundation is grateful to the State of Mongolia for participating in the Eurasian Economic Summits of Marmara Group Foundation at the level of Presidents and Ministers.
