Laik, sanayileşen bir Türkiye kuran Atatürk ulusu kulluktan yurttaşlığa yükseltmiş bir lider, kapsamlı ilerici reformları hayata geçirmiş, sekülarist ve milliyetçi politikalarla milletimizi biraraya getirmiş bir devlet adamıdır. The Glorious Karabakh Victory Turns Five

Five years have passed since Azerbaijan’s glorious victory in Karabakh. On the occasion of this Great Victory Day, Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation, issued a message congratulating Azerbaijan. Dr. Suver’s message reads as follows: “Today we are celebrating not only Azerbaijan’s but also the entire Turkic World’s Great Victory Day. Five years have passed since Azerbaijan, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, drove Armenia out of the territories it had occupied for nearly 30 years — a triumph that brought honor and glory not only to Azerbaijan’s history but also to the history of Turkdom. On the anniversary of this Great Victory, we, as the Marmara Group Foundation, extend our heartfelt congratulations to our Azerbaijani brothers and sisters through our civil society identity. We remember with mercy our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Karabakh and wish health and happiness to our veterans. On this fifth anniversary of the Great Victory, we take pride in our Azerbaijani brothers and sisters who have brought peace and stability to the Caucasus region and have once again made us feel the pride and joy of being ‘one nation, two states.’ May the Victory Day of Turkdom be blessed.”

Visit to the Consul General of China

During the meeting, views were exchanged ahead of the Foundation’s upcoming visit to China next week.

Sezgin Bilgiç Spoke at TİDAD

Secretary General of the Marmara Group Foundation, Sezgin Bilgiç, was invited as a guest speaker to the regular board meeting of the Trakya İmece Research and Thought Association (TİDAD). In his speech, Bilgiç introduced the Marmara Group Foundation and shared detailed information about the Eurasian Economic Summits. At the end of the meeting, TİDAD President Dt. Dr. Kemal Kavut and Treasurer Osman Özlü presented Sezgin Bilgiç with a plaque in memory of the occasion.

Exhibition of Turkic World Painters Opens in Istanbul

The art exhibition “Spirit of the Great Steppe” featuring works by Turkish and Turkic world painters has opened at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center in Istanbul. The opening ceremony was attended by Rector of the National Defense University Prof. Dr. Erhan Afyoncu, Eldar Aitmatov (son of Cengiz Aitmatov), Prof. Dr. İlyas Topsakal, and representatives from across the Turkic world, who together cut the ribbon to inaugurate the exhibition. The Exhibition of Turkic World Painters was organized by the Cengiz Aitmatov Institute, chaired by Samsun MP Prof. Dr. İlyas Topsakal. The event brought together academics, art enthusiasts, and distinguished guests. Mahmut Saklı, Member of the Executive Council of the Marmara Group Foundation, was also present at the opening ceremony.

We Commemorated Yüksel Çengel

Former Member of the Executive Council of the Marmara Group Foundation and former Member of Parliament, Yüksel Çengel, was commemorated at a ceremony held at his graveside. The ceremony was attended by his wife Ayfer Çengel, his sons Aziz and Özgür Çengel, other family members, a distinguished group of friends, and members of the Marmara Group Foundation. The commemoration took place with prayers and the sharing of memories. During the ceremony, Sezgin Bilgiç, Secretary General of the Marmara Group Foundation, also delivered a speech. We remember our friend with respect, affection, and deep longing.

Ferit Sağ Spoke at the Health Platform of the Medical University of Vienna

Marmara Group Foundation Executive Council Member Ferit Sağ attended a health conference organized at the Medical University of Vienna. The event brought together 250 medical professionals from Turkey and various countries around the world. The conference comprehensively addressed the current standards and future vision of the healthcare sector in Turkey. Representing Istanbul Vega Hospital, Ferit Sağ delivered a presentation in which he outlined both the ongoing healthcare services and the planned new projects of the institution. Following his speech, Ferit Sağ made a statement: “The two-day conference strengthened the exchange of knowledge and experience among healthcare professionals. Participants shared views on issues such as quality in healthcare services, advancements in medical technologies, patient satisfaction, and international collaborations. The event also provided an opportunity for Turkish-origin doctors working in different parts of the world to come together. In Memory of Yüksel Çengel

On the occasion of the first anniversary of his passing, Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation, made the following statement: “On November 1, we commemorate the anniversary of the passing of our colleague and friend, Yüksel Çengel, former Member of the Executive Council of the Marmara Group Foundation. We will visit his grave on November 1 to pay our respects. As one of the distinguished members of the Marmara Group Foundation, our dear friend Yüksel Çengel will always be remembered with gratitude for his valuable contributions and the fruitful work we accomplished together. May God’s mercy be upon him.”

Governor of Istanbul Davut Gül Received Republic Day Congratulations

Governor Davut Gül Hosted a Reception for Republic Day

Istanbul Governor Davut Gül and his wife Gülden Gül hosted a Reception at the WOW Hotel Istanbul on the occasion of the 102nd Anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. The event was attended by around two thousand distinguished guests, including military and civil authorities, foreign mission chiefs based in Istanbul, and religious leaders. Among the attendees were Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation, his wife Müjgan Suver, and Mahmut Saklı, Member of the Executive Council of the Foundation. The Reception was held in a cheerful atmosphere and lasted until late hours.
