Published by H2O Publications and written by Turan Şahin, the Akkan Suver Museum is not merely a museum catalog, but also a comprehensive documentary work shedding light on Turkey's cultural, diplomatic, and civil society memory of the last half-century. The book, focusing on the Akkan Suver Museum located in the Gebze Güzeller Organized Industrial Zone, established under the leadership of businessman Adem Ceylan and managed by Oğuzhan Ceylan at the Private Adem Ceylan Final Technical College, conveys a multifaceted life story spanning from journalism to politics, academia to international relations, through hundreds of objects and documents exhibited in the museum. The book traces the relationships Akkan Suver forged with heads of state, scientists, religious figures, and cultural personalities, accompanied by photographs, medals, decorations, diplomas, books, and personal memorabilia. The work meticulously examines cultural heritage elements acquired by the museum from a vast geographical area stretching from Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan to Turkmenistan, the Balkans to China, and from America to Africa. A Memento from Ortaylı to Akkan Suver The World Federation of Peace and Love (FOWPAL) (USA) had presented the medal and certificate prepared to be awarded to the late Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı at the 29th Eurasian Economic Summit to Dr. Akkan Suver. Dr. Akkan Suver presented the Medal and Certificate he had been entrusted with to Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı’s daughter, Mrs. Tuna Ortaylı. Following the presentation, Mrs. Tuna Ortaylı also gifted Dr. Akkan Suver the brass magnifying glass and letter opener that had belonged to her father, Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı. Dr. Akkan Suver expressed his gratitude for this valuable memento belonging to Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı that was presented to him and stated that he would donate this exceptional memento to the Akkan Suver Museum.
