MALTA

Marmara Group Foundation, with its civil society identity, does what needs to be done for the mutual development of relations between Türkiye and Malta. We continue our work with the responsibility that we have a very good cooperation environment. We are aware that Malta has a very high strategic potential. Because Malta is at the heart of Europe due to its location. Türkiye has a similar potential. Turkey is an important country for the Eurasian and Mediterranean regions. Türkiye, which forms a center between Asia, Europe and Africa within the Eurasian geography, and Malta, which is in the heart of Europe, are two countries of geopolitical importance in the Mediterranean.

As Marmara Group Foundation, we know that Maltese companies are pursuing new initiatives in the international arena. As Türkiye, we want to take part in Malta's internationalization. Our diplomatic and political relations are very good, we have to turn this into more concrete business co-operation and private sector co-operation. We have to raise our social and economic relations to higher levels, bring our peoples together and pave the way for sustainable friendships. We do not only want to be acquainted, but we also want to be partners and friends; we must realize this for the benefit of our peoples and our region.

During our visit to Malta as Marmara Group Foundation, we have seen examples of historical and cultural unity between us. We believe that efforts should be made to transfer these to the field of economy.

Our mutual friendship with Edward De Bono, one of the most important thinkers of Malta, is the most valuable sign of our closeness to this island as Marmara Group Foundation.

Our work with the non-governmental organization Mediterranean Children's Movement, which we signed an agreement with the former President of Malta Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, is above all kinds of appreciation and praise.
