We celebrate the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey.

On the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of our Republic — which Great Atatürk called “my greatest work” — the President of the Marmara Group Foundation, Dr. Akkan Suver, issued the following message: “On the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey, we commemorate with excitement, pride, and gratitude those who entrusted us with this homeland.

It was 102 years ago that the Great Atatürk taught us that the Republic means the sovereignty unconditionally belonging to the nation, liberating the Turkish people from servitude and making them citizens.

The homeland is eternally grateful to you, Great Atatürk.

With the high vision he set forth, our Republic has become the main source of the contemporary values that define who we are today.

We firmly believe that the sacred path embarked upon 102 years ago will be carried forward with the same enthusiasm and devotion for centuries to come.
