Peace and Diplomacy Training Took Place
The “Peace and Diplomacy Training” was successfully held for the first time on May 6–7–8, 2025, as part of the 28th Eurasian Economic Summit continuously organized by the Marmara Group Foundation, celebrating its 40th anniversary at the WOW Istanbul Hotel. A total of 45 students from various universities’ Departments of International Relations and Political Science participated in the training. Participants came from Marmara, Boğaziçi, Kocaeli, Kırklareli, Bahçeşehir, Sakarya, Bursa Uludağ, Erciyes, Istanbul Ticaret, Rumeli, Istanbul Arel, Yıldız Technical, Düzce, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli, Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli, Namık Kemal, and Istinye universities. The program was carried out with a distinguished academic team, including respected scholars specialized in peace and diplomacy from Boğaziçi, Kocaeli, Bursa Uludağ, Istanbul Arel, TED, Van Yüzüncü Yıl, Istanbul Ticaret, Istanbul Aydın Universities and General Directorate of Security The students who attended the training program also had the opportunity to join the opening session of the 28th Eurasian Economic Summit and the closing session featuring President’s , gaining a meaningful and memorable experience.

The training also featured interviews with renowned scholars and statespeople. Nobel Laureate Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar, distinguished historian Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı, former Austrian Defense Minister Dr. Werner Fasslabend, former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, and former Ambassador Ertuğrul Kumcuoğlu shared their knowledge and experiences in the field of peace and diplomacy.
At the conclusion of the program, participants were awarded certificates by the Board Members of the Marmara Group Foundation in a special ceremony.
Feedback collected from students through surveys indicated that the training was productive and successful.
