Dr. Akkan Suver Receives GAP Journalist of the Year Award
The GAP Journalists Association celebrated the 102nd Anniversary of the Republic of Turkey with a special ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Bucharest, in cooperation with the Turkish-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The event was attended by Turkish Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat and AK Party Deputy Chairman Prof. Dr. Kürşat Zorlu, along with Romanian State Secretaries, Ministers, Members of Parliament, as well as former Presidents and Prime Ministers of Romania.
During the ceremony, Dr. Akkan Suver was presented with the 2025 GAP Journalists Association Journalist of the Year Award. The award was handed to him by Tamer Atalay, President of the Turkish-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
At the award ceremony, it was stated that Dr. Akkan Suver was deemed worthy of this award in recognition of his journalistic contributions and services promoting the Balkans.
