Dr. Akkan Suver and Bünyamin Yevlal held a press conference regarding the Eurasian Economic Summit.
The countdown has begun for the 27th Eurasian Economic Summit, organized by the Marmara Group Foundation (MGV) and scheduled to take place in Istanbul on February 21-22. The details of the summit, to be held in collaboration with the Istanbul Ready-Made Garment and Apparel Exporters' Association (İHKİB), were announced at a press conference held at the Istanbul Fashion Academy. With the theme "From Crises to Stability, Building an Inclusive World," the summit will host over 300 politicians, diplomats, academics, religious leaders, and businesspeople from more than 40 countries, including former presidents from 20 countries. Additionally, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the 9th President Süleyman Demirel, a special session will be organized. The collections of the finalists of the 31st KOZA Young Fashion Competition will also be showcased at the summit.
Greetings on behalf of foreign guests will be delivered by the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, and the welcome speech on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation will be given by former Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. Furthermore, it was revealed that horse racing will take place at the Veliefendi Hippodrome at 17:00 on the first evening of the summit, followed by an award ceremony, fashion show, and gala dinner.
Dr. Akkan Suver, President of MGV, emphasized their platform's commitment to freedom of expression, highlighting that the Eurasian Economic Summit has brought together influential figures in the international arena for over a quarter of a century.
İHKİB Board Member Bünyamin Yevlal also stressed in his speech that the Eurasian Economic Summit is an international brand for Turkey. He noted İHKİB's significant emphasis on brands and branding in the fashion industry.
