Within the scope of the “Disaster-Resilient Cities – Avcılar” project carried out in partnership with Avcılar Municipality and the Marmara Group Foundation, the webinar titled “Digitalizing Disaster Awareness: Meet Resilient Avcılar!” was successfully held on 26 November 2025 via Microsoft Teams.

During the webinar, the newly developed digital platform “Resilient Avcılar”, designed to strengthen disaster preparedness among Avcılar residents, enhance the capacity of civil society organizations, and bring solidarity into the digital sphere, was introduced to participants.

Attendees had the opportunity to learn in detail about:
• Disaster preparedness processes,
• The educational materials available on the platform,
• The event calendar, community network, and other digital tools.
The platform aims to facilitate access to information in Avcılar and contribute to strengthening community resilience.

As part of the project, participants who complete the training sessions receive a certificate of participation, along with a complimentary disaster preparedness kit.
This innovative initiative, which digitalizes disaster awareness, marks another significant step toward building a resilient community in Avcılar.
