Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation, who participated as an Observer to the elections of the National Assembly, Senate and Local Administrations in the name of Turkish civil society on 22 December 2019 in Uzbekistan, visited 26 ballot boxes.

Dr. Akkan Suver, who gave information to the press about his ballot boxes that he served in Mirobod and Yakkasaray Districts in Tashkent, stated that the elections were transparent and in accordance with democratic rules and western norms.

Dr. Akkan Suver who also met with party representatives and voters during the ballot box visits, said that for the first time in the elections, women were given roses by the Chairman of the Balloting Committee, and while going their home with committee, they have allowed the people who have already been referred to some kind of disease vote in their homes. Meanwhile, the fact that 36 of the deputies were women was described by observers as a discrete achievement of the idea of New Uzbekistan.

Dr. Akkan Suver made the following evaluation regarding the election results:

5 political parties participated in the Uzbekistan elections

According to the results of the election: The Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan 43 deputies, The People's Democratic Party 18 deputies, The Social Democratic Party Adolat (Justice) 21 deputies, the Democratic Party Milliy Tiklanish (National Revival) 35 Deputies and Ecological Party of Uzbekistan 11 deputies released.

In 22 provinces, 74 candidates will be re-elected. According to the Constitution of Uzbekistan, the winning party must exceed 50% in that province. Because it could not exceed in 22 provinces, elections will be held again.
