The 243^th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America was celebrated with a Reception in Istanbul.

To the reception which has started with the speech of Consul General Daria Darnell and US Charge d'Affaires to Ankara Jeff Hoverier, Istanbul Deputy Mayor Ismail Gultekin, Patriarch Bartholomeos, Patriarch deputies Yusuf Cetin and Aram Atesyan, Rabbi Isak Haleva, Mayor of Beşiktaş Riza Akpolat, Mayor of Sarıyer Sukru Genc, Beyoğlu Mayor Ali Haydar Yıldız and a crowd of guests joined.

The reception that Dr. Akkan Suver participated has lasted until late hours.
