Jozef Sestak, Consul General of Slovakia in Istanbul, hold a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the Slovak Republic. Some of cordiplomatic mission chiefs also attended the reception in addition to the high officials including civilian and military staff. Dr. Akkan Suver and Müjgan Suver participated in the reception on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation.

At this reception, upon the questions by the press about the relationship between Turkey and Slovakia, Dr. Suver said "Slovakia is our NATO-member ally and an important state giving support to us for our membership of the EU. We wish this brotherhood and friendship will continue getting stronger".
