The martyrdom of our soldiers plunged Türkiye into mourning
The killing of 9 soldiers by terrorists has brought grief to our country. Dr. Akkan Suver, the President of the Marmara Group Foundation, sent a letter to international civil society organizations, stating that the real cause of these events is terrorism. Dr. Suver's letter is as follows:
"The martyrdom of 9 Turkish soldiers is not only an attack on the Turkish nation but also an assault on humanity. The treacherous attack by terrorists who infiltrated our borders is, in fact, a crime committed against humanity.
Attempts of this treacherous nature against Türkiye and the Turkish people will be decisively eradicated. We want to declare to the world in our capacity as a civil society that the Turkish nation is determined and conscious enough to completely eliminate such acts by terrorists. Humanity should know that Türkiye will never forget this attack, and it is incumbent upon humanity not to remain silent in the face of such assaults."
