Former President of Israel (2007-2014), Shimon Peres has died. In nearly seventy years of his political life, he had served as Foreign Affairs Minister, Prime Minister and President in Israel.

H.E. Shimon Peres had attended to Marmara Group Foundation as a guest speaker in 1996.

H.E. Shimon Peres had received the Board of the Marmara Group Foundation during their visit to Israel. During his last visit to Istanbul Mr. Peres, have received the Marmara Group Foundation members lead by Dr. Akkan Suver, in Marmara Group Foundation’s honorary President Mr. Jak Kamhi’s residence.

H.E. Peres, a well-known statesman was awarded with Nobel Peace Prize in 1994.

Dr. Akkan Suver has signed the book of condolence in honour of Mr. Peres and expressed his condolences to Consul General of Israel in Istanbul Mr .Shai Cohen.
