Pope Benoit XVI (2007-2013) 95 years old passed into eternity.  Pope Benoit XVI, known and distinguished as a humanitarian of peace and dialogue, was a Religious Leader who accepted the Marmara Group Foundation in the Vatican on two separate dates. In the first visit, the Marmara Group Foundation Delegation consisting of Dr. Akkan Suver, Prof. Dr. İlter Turan, Cafer Okray and Leyla Tavşanoğlu with, Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu and (F) Orgeneal Necdet Timur were also accepted in the Vatican.  Pope Benoit XVI, who received Müjgan and Dr. Akkan Suver at the Notre Dame Church during his official visit to Turkey, was known for his high support for civil society activities. As the Marmara Group Foundation, we bow respectfully to the memory of Pope Benoit XVI and offer our condolences to the Catholic world.
