Dr. Akkan Suver, the President of the Marmara Group Foundation, was awarded the Medal of Love and Peace by Dr. Hong Tao Tze, President of FOWPAL (Federation of World Peace and Love) based in the United States.

Dr. Akkan Suver stated that the medal was awarded not to him personally but to the Turkish Civil Society for the peace efforts made on the international stage.
