The Marmara Group Foundation's Ordinary General Assembly was held at the Malta Mansion in Istanbul with wide participation. In the Presidency of Ertuğrul Kumcuoğlu, Incilay Balls, Av. Oktay Gök, Yalçın Sönmez and Turan Sarıgülle started the Marmara Group Foundation's annual activity report, Dr. Akkan Suver described the activities of 2017. Dr. Suver emphasized that the Marmara Group went three times each to Azerbaijan, to Montenegro and the People's Republic of China, once to Macedonia, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Austria, Albania, Kosovo, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Slovenia, Mongolia and Uzbekistan in order to organize activities in these countries that represented the bright face of Turkey's civil society identity; he thanked his friends who supported him individually.

After the activity report was declared, Att. Serhat Tabanca published the Audit Report and Mohammed Akyol announced the Financial Report. Sworn Financial Consultant Bülent Soylan presented the financial situation. Later, the activity and audit reports were acquited by separate votings. After the adoption of the new members, the elections were held. Marmara Group Foundation's new Executive Council will further consist of Dr. Akkan Suver, Ali Rıza Arslan, Cafer Okray, Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu, Engin Köklüçınar, Nuri Artok, Lale Aytanç Nalbant, Şamil Ayrım and Yüksel Çengel. Alaattin Koçak, Serhat Tabanca and Gökhan Humbaracı were selected as Supervisory Board members. In the wishes section, Prof.Dr. Ahmet Samsunlu, Att. Ismail Ünlütürkler, Şamil Ayrım, Ahmet Doğan Arıkan, and Engin Köklüçınar were seen to have taken word separately.
