Great Loyalty/A monument was erected for Atatürks Sculp

When the grave of Heinrich Krippel, the Viennese creator of Atatürk sculptures found in many settlement centers in Türkiye, disappeared, the Turkish community stepped in. On behalf of the Turkish community, Prof. Birol Kılıç had a memorial tomb built for Krippel in his hometown. With the initiative of Birol Kılıç, the founder of a German-language publishing house in Vienna, a monument was erected for Atatürk's Sculptor Krippel.

In this regard, Birol Kılıç's statement is as follows: "The Viennese artist and sculptor is an Austrian who, in his time, was the only one who truly understood and demonstrated with his art Atatürk's laic, modern Republic of Türkiye founded upon the War of Independence. He had eight works in Türkiye today. Sources indicate that Heinrich Krippel created the first significant Atatürk sculptures and national monuments of the Turkish Republic. Thus, he not only pioneered public, state-related art at a political level in Türkiye but also had a significant influence on the monument culture in Türkiye. The Austrian sculptor was also a guest at Atatürk's mansion during his stay in Türkiye; Atatürk even modeled for the artist for his own monuments, including the sculpture at Sümerbank."

Renowned sculptor Heinrich Krippel's works in Türkiye include the following: Sarayburnu Atatürk Monument in 1926, the Atatürk Memorial in Konya in 1926, the Atatürk Victory Monument in Ulus, Ankara in 1927, the Atatürk Honor Monument in Samsun in 1931, the Great Victory Monument in Afyonkarahisar in 1936, the Seated Atatürk Monument in Sümerbank, Ankara, in 1938, and the Horseback Atatürk Monument Pedestal Relief and Afyonkarahisar Great Victory Monument Pedestal Relief in Ankara's Ulus Square in Türkiye.
