Dr. Akkan Suver, the President of Marmara Group Foundation, has resigned from his position as the Honorary Consul General of Montenegro in Istanbul, which he has been representing for almost 12 years, as of 6 January 2020 on the occasion of the opening of an official Consulate General in Istanbul.

DR. AKKAN SUVER PUBLISHED A BOOK THAT PUTS SPOTLIGHTS ON HISTORY DURING HIS DUTY AS HONORARY CONSUL GENERAL

During his duty as Honorary Consul General Dr. Akkan Suver spearheaded important work in relations with Montenegro and Turkey. In addition to his work in economic, social and cultural fields, Dr. Akkan Suver also wrote a grand book describing the history of Turkey-Montenegro relations from yesterday to today, which is a first in Turkey. This book, which was written by Akkan Suver and shed light on our common history, was published in Montenegro with the preface of the famous historian Serbo Rastoder in Montenegrin language.
