President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan went to Karabakh for the inauguration of the Fuzuli Airport. Welcomed by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Erdoğan became the first president to land at the Fuzuli International Airport.

Minister of Environment and Urbanization Murat Kurum, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of National Defence Hulusi Akar, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, Istanbul Deputy Şamil Ayrım and Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın went to Azerbaijan with President Erdoğan.

Akkan Suver: It is of great importance for the unity of the Turkish World that the Fuzuli Airport is Inaugurated by two Fellow Leaders

The fact that the first foreign plane to land at the new Fuzuli Airport, which was built shortly after the district's liberation from occupation, belongs to Turkey and that the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited Fuzuli show the good relationship between Turkey and Azerbaijan.

This sentence belongs to the President of Marmara Group Strategical and Social Research Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver in his statement to AZƏRTAC.

Emphasizing that the inauguration of the Airport by the leaders of the two brotherly countries is of special importance for the Turkish world, he continued: "These historical moments are unprecedented and proud examples of our unity and solidarity. Along with the opening of the Fuzuli International Airport, the foundations of new projects in different regions of Karabakh, which was destroyed by Armenians for many years, is a very important event for our countries as well as the region. The Zanzegur Corridor is about to leave a mark in history, which will contribute to the development of our countries and our region.

The visit of the President of Turkey to Azerbaijan is another example of the new and bigger steps of our union.”.
