The Constitution Referendum in Uzbekistan was held with an 81 percent turnout. Marmara Group Foundation President Dr. Akkan Suver and Vice President Sezgin Bilgiç, who participated as observers on behalf of Turkish civil society, witnessed the great interest of the people in the ballot boxes they visited, where 90 percent of the participants voted "yes" in the referendum. The elections, where gifts were given to young people who voted for the first time, took place in a festive atmosphere.

The members of the Marmara Group Foundation Committee, along with the Observer High Election Board Member Ali Ürker from Turkey, visited polling stations during the Constitutional Referendum when they came across Uzbek poet Babur Babamurat, the author of the poem "Your Pain Became My Pain, Turkey", amidst the earthquake disaster that occurred at that time. They listened to the poet's poem.
