Türkiye is experiencing a great disaster. With our high belief that we will overcome this pain we are experiencing together as soon as possible, we offer our nation our best wishes. We believe we will eliminate this disaster with unity and solidarity. In the meantime, we would like to thank our friends and organization of civil society friends who called us from abroad and shared our pain.

After the great earthquake, Dr Akkan Suver made a statement:
Türkiye experienced a great disaster.  On behalf of the Turkish civil society, we would like to express our gratitude to our friends who shared our pain over the phone and via messages, especially the United Nations ECOSOC Presidency, international non-governmental organizations and our international partners.  I hope we never experience such a disaster again.
