Bangladesh Night event organized by Consul General of Bangladesh in Istanbul Dr. Mohamed Monirul Islam took place in Istanbul. Artists from Bangladesh and Turkey performed and a documentary about Mujibur Rahman was screened at the Bangladesh Night, which was the continuation of a series of events to mark the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh's independence and the birth centenary of founder Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. President Dr. Akkan Suver and Member of the Board of Trustees Mahmut Saklı were also present at the event on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation.
