Dr. Akkan Suver who made a statement after the visits to Beijing and Chengdu by Marmara Group Foundation said that: "- This visit we have made with our civil society identity, I believe that has opened up new horizons for civil society relations between Turkey and China. I believe that our visit will surely make an important contribution to the excellent intergovernmental relations. We witnessed great examples of development and improvement. We have seen the technological advances that China has in the field of modern and contemporary urbanism. We observed that the importance given to trees and flowers is at a high level. We admired the lines of roads, viaducts. And we witnessed the value of higher education. We learned that there are 119 universities and 1.5 million students in Sichuan Province. I believe that such visits will add a different strength to the ties between the countries.
