Mustafa Ergin attended the official 10th anniversary commemoration ceremonies held at Edirnekapı Martyrs’ Cemetery on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.

On the 10th anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt, Edirnekapı Martyrs’ Cemetery witnessed a large influx of visitors. Veterans, relatives of martyrs, and citizens came together to commemorate the martyrs and to relive the sorrow and pride of ten years ago. The Holy Qur’an was recited and prayers were offered for the souls of the martyrs.

Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Members of Parliament, Istanbul Deputy Mayor Nuri Aslan, and Commander of the First Army General Bahtiyar Ersay were also present at the commemoration ceremony.

As the Marmara Group Foundation, on the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, we commemorate with mercy and gratitude all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our homeland and the preservation of our democracy, and express our deepest gratitude to our veterans.
