The first Peace and Diplomacy Training programme held within the 28th Eurasian Economic Summit was successfully completed at WOW Istanbul Hotel on 6-8 May 2025.

Forty-five international relations and political science students from numerous universities participated alongside expert academics and public officials.

Topics included conflict resolution, human rights diplomacy, energy and nuclear security, the UN and NATO, EU diplomacy, environmental diplomacy, digitalization, democratization, human security, global leadership and the relationship between the international economic order and peace.

Nobel laureate Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar, historian Prof. Dr. Ilber Ortayli, Dr. Werner Fasslabend, Karin Kneissl and Ambassador Ertugrul Kumcuoglu shared their experience.

Students attended major Summit sessions and received certificates at a special ceremony. Feedback confirmed that the programme was successful and productive.
