Ten years have passed since the death of Turkiye's ninth President Suleyman Demirel.

The Foundation remembers with respect a statesman who contributed to its establishment and encouraged the creation of the Eurasian Economic Summits.

At the 28th Summit, the Suleyman Demirel Democracy Award was presented by Ilhan Kesici to former Romanian President Emil Constantinescu, who in return presented his Romanian-language book on Demirel.
