Dr. Akkan Suver evaluated the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation media conference in an interview with Xinhua.

He said China-proposed initiatives such as Belt and Road cooperation help remove barriers that historically caused misunderstanding and conflict by encouraging people-to-people ties and cultural awareness.

Dr. Suver described open dialogue and cultural diversity as vital to lasting peace and praised the SCO's role in security, economic cooperation and diplomacy.

He also highlighted China's contribution to green development, reforestation, clean energy and urban ecology among member states.
