Pope Leo XIV, spiritual leader of the Catholic world, attended a major gathering at Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul together with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew during his visit to Turkiye.

Dr. Akkan Suver, Lale Aytanc Nalbant and Ferit Sag represented the Marmara Group Foundation among approximately 4,000 participants.

The following day, Dr. Suver attended the religious ceremony for the Feast of Saint Andrew hosted by Patriarch Bartholomew. Pope Leo XIV, foreign mission chiefs and a large Orthodox congregation also attended.

Patriarch Bartholomew and Pope Leo XIV expressed their appreciation for their fellowship and unity.
