Various civil society organizations, academics, journalists and writers, and leading figures from the business world, including Müjgan Suver on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation, established the "Just Women Platform" to eliminate the conditions that prevent women's participation in politics.

Speaking at the press conference held at Bahçeşehir University Beşiktaş Campus to announce the reasons and goals of the platform's establishment, Vuslat Doğan Sabancı, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Hürriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacılık A.Ş, stated that "women are also completely justified in demanding their rights." Sabancı expressed that among 134 countries ranked on gender equality, Turkey is 126th from the bottom, and in terms of the proportion of women in parliament, it ranks 105th out of 181 countries. She noted that there are only 2 women in the 25-member Cabinet and no female members in the Planning and Budget Commission.

Müjgan Suver, who said that many civil society organizations forming the platform work in different fields, added; “As the Just Women Platform, for the elections to be held on June 12, we want to call on political party leaders to place more women in electable regions and urge voters to use their votes consciously aware of this.”

Tijen Mergen, Sales and Marketing Group Head of Hürriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacılık A.Ş, emphasized that the primary goal of the platform is to ensure that a much larger number of women deputies enter the Turkish Grand National Assembly than today, and stated that among the first signatories of the "Just Women Platform," which represents approximately 90,000 people, are the Marmara Group Foundation, Federation of Anatolian Entrepreneur Businesswomen Associations, Başkent Women Platform, Association for Supporting Contemporary Life, and Association for Supporting and Training Women Candidates.
