In 1996, Turkey signed an "Eternal Friendship Agreement" with Uzbekistan. Turkey has many agreements with many countries. And it also has friendship; good neighborliness and cooperation agreements with many friendly countries. None of these agreements is named the Eternal Friendship Agreement. In other words, since the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, it is the first time that an eternal friendship agreement is signed, and this is done with Uzbekistan.

The meaning of this agreement goes far beyond the literal meaning of the word. The word means forever. But its essential meaning is that two brotherly countries, which accept friendship under all conditions, decide to protect this friendship and to reject any evil that may be directed at this friendship without blinking an eye, without thinking, without reasoning. The meaning of the Eternal Friendship Agreement is very great.

There is no limit to this. In the full sense, the two countries will be together until the end of life and will overcome the difficulties and obstacles they encounter together. The Marmara Group Foundation, as a civil society identity, is engaged in works worthy of this exceptional friendship.
