One of the friends of the Marmara Group Foundation and one of the closest persons to Patriarch Bartholomeos in the Istanbul Greek Patriarchate, Press advisor, journalist-photographer Niko Manginas died at the age of 68 due to COVID-19. Nikola Nikolaidis, the grandfather of Niko Manginas, was one of the Çanakkale martyrs.

The President of the Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver and the General Secretary of the Marmara Group Foundation Cafer Okray was present with their friends at the funeral in which Patriarch Bartholomeos also attended.
