Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırm, Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekçi, former Deputy Prime Minister and Member of the Parliament Tuğrul Türkeş, Istanbul Governor Vasip Şahın and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mevlut Uysal, who were among the representants of 41 countries at the the 21st Eurasian Economic Summit, sent a celebration message to the newly elected President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

Dr. Akkan Suver announced in his opening speech on the second day of the Summit (April 12th, 2018) that Ilham Aliyev was unanimously elected President of Azerbaijan.

After this news, which was welcomed with applause, the participants of the 21st Summit of Economy Summit decided to convey a letter of congratulation to Ilham Aliyev.

The congratulatory letter prepared by the signatures of the Presidents participating in the 21st Eurasia Economic Summit, was presented to the Consul General of Azerbaijan to Istanbul, Mesim Hajiyev by the delegation consisting of Dr. Akkan Suver, Şamil Ayrım, Lale Aytanç Nalbant, Engin Köklüçınar, Cafer Okray and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Samsunlu.
