Dr. Akkan SUVER monitored Uzbekistan Presidential Election as observer. Dr. Akkan Suver, monitoring Uzbekistan presidential elections with observer status, mentioned concerning the victory of Islam Kerimov in elections that, “Uzbek society voted for security, stability and Great Uzbekistan.” After the elections Dr. Akkan Suver expressed that election was held in transparency and openness. Noting that Uzbekistan has a vital position in Middle Asia, Mr. Suver emphasized the importance given to security and stability in the region as well as democratization process; and added that the stability in the country and the regions emanates from the successful policy carried out by Kerimov. Dr. Akkan Suver said election was held in conformity with international standards and western norms and was transparent for both observers and electorates.
