During the medal ceremony, Yusuf Sađ, the representative of the Turkish Assyrian Catholic Spiritual Chiefs Committee and Monsignor George Marovitch, Vatican Representative to Ýstanbul, made speeches and said “we are presenting the Memoriam Medal of Benedict XVI to Dr. Akkan Suver for his major contributions during the Pope’s visit which resulted in the consolidation of inter-religional dialogue.”
