CONDOLENCE UPON THE ASSASSINATION OF HRANT DINK, THE CHIEF COLUMNIST OF THE AGOS NEWSPAPER, THE MARMARA GROUP FOUNDATION HAS SENT A MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO: MRS. DINK, THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF OF THE AGOS NEWSPAPER ARİS NALCI, THE TURKISH ARMENIAN COMMUNITY PATRIARCH MESROB II, THE SPIRITUAL LEADER OF THE ARMENIAN CATHOLIC COMMUNITY ÇOLAKYAN. BELOW IS THE FULL TEXT OF THE MESSAGE. We have been unfortunately informed of the inauspicious assassination of the chief columnist of Agos newspaper, Mr. Hrant Dink. It is doubtlessly clear that Turkey and the Turkish nation have no interest in the assassination of Hrant Dink. We believe that this attempt is an action undertaken by the unclear groups acting with the objective of damaging only Turkey and the Turks, that it is carried out against the stability and peace in Turkey and that it is aiming to obstruct the Turkey’s path in every area. We herein strongly condemn this despicable murder and wish our deepest condolences to the Dink Family, our brothers and sisters of Armenian origin, Turkish press and our people.
