Genghis Khan Medal to Dr. Akkan
Suver

On 2 - 8 August 2006, Marmara
Foundation participated to the
800th anniversary of the birth
of Genghis Khan in Mongolia,
with a delegation formed by. Dr.
Akkan Suver – President of the
Marmara Foundation and Engin
Köklüçınar- Secretary General of
the Marmara Foundation. During
the visit of Marmara Foundation
Nambar Enkhbayar – President of
Mongolia received the
delegation.
President Enkhbayar presented
“Ghenghis Khan Medal”, highest
award of the Mongolian State, to
Dr. Suver.
Mongolian State gave this medal
to Dr. Akkan Suver concerning
the contributions of the Marmara
Foundation to the relations
between Mongolia and Turkey with
the Eurasian Economic Summits.
After the medal ceremony Dr.
Suver said that: “This medal is
presented not only to me but at
the same time to the Turkish
civil initiative. So this
success is the success of my
nation”

OF THE WORLD MONGOLIANS
Convention of the World
Mongolians came together on 7
August 2006, in historical
capital city of Mongolia, Khara
Khorum. At the Conclusion
Session of the Convention;
Nambar Enkhbayar was elected as
the Honorary President of the
Convention and Former Foreign
Minister of Mongolia Ts.
Gombosuren as the President of
the Convention. Vice Presidents
of the Convention were B.
Baasanjav from Austria, Buldaev
S.N. from Buryad Autonomous
Region, Dr. Akkan Suver from
Turkey, Ilumjinov K.H. from
Kalmyk Republic, Sia Yong from
Singapore, Enkhe Chimood and
B.Enktuvshin from Mongolia.

ORKHUN MONUMENTS

Concerning the contributions of
the Marmara Foundation to the
relations between Mongolia and
Turkey with the Eurasian
Economic Summits organized for 9
years the Mongolia honored the
President of the Marmara
Foundation with the highest
medal of the Mongol State:
"Ghenghis Khan Medal"
After receiving the Ghanghis
Khan Medal personally from
Nambar Enkhbayar - President of
Mongolia Dr. Suver summarized
his observations in Mongolia
with these words: " During our
presence here we had chance to
witness the civilization of our
ancestor: "Gokturks". We
examined the Orkhun Monuments
from the 14th century. These
inheritances remind us the
importance of receiving this
medal on the lands of our
ancestors"
