11th Eurasian Economic Summit was convened in Istanbul and has successfully completed its deliberations
The Summit was convened in Istanbul and has successfully completed its deliberations between 1-3 May, 2008 at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Auditorium, with the participation of delegates from 34 different countries including 4 Former Presidents, 1 Prime Minister, 1 Vice President, 2 Speakers of Parliament, 2 Deputy Prime Ministers, 26 Cabinet Ministers, 19 Members of Parliament and 187 high level dignitaries.

President Aliyev received the delegation of the Marmara Foundation
H.E. Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, received the delegation of the Marmara Foundation which is formed by Dr. Akkan Suver, Ogan Soysal and Şamil Ayrım, in the light of the oncoming Eleventh Eurasian Economic Summit which will be held in Istanbul, from 1 to 3 May 2008, during their two-day visit to Azerbaijan.

General Assembly meeting of the Marmara Foundation was realized. Dr. Akkan Suver is elected as president again.
Dr. Akkan Suver is elected as president unanimously at the meeting which is directed by the Presidential Board formed by Member of Parliament Ertuğrul Kumcuoğlu, Ülkü Söylemezoğlu, Att. Ergun Özgen, Att. İsmail Ünlütürkler and Atilla Vanlıoğlu.
